Our Story
Broadway on Bankhead is a pioneering initiative founded in 2019 by a dedicated music educator and his wife; aimed at harnessing the power of the performing arts to enrich, empower, and elevate the lives of youth in the Atlanta area. Through immersive storytelling and dynamic performances, Broadway on Bankhead serves as a sanctuary for creative exploration and personal growth.
Where we are now...
At this time, we are fundraising to sustain our organizational infrastructure which not only includes expansion to our facilities, but the people who make this theatre run. With your support, we envision our part-time team becoming a full-time staff with livable salaries and benefits. Thus far through our on the ground community efforts, we have been able to add an additional room which serves as additioanl dressing room and rehearsal space. As our program continues to grow, so does the need for a safe, comfortable, and inspiring space where our youth can prepare, build confidence, and fully step into their roles. Your support will help us create an environment that reflects the professionalism and care they deserve.
Meet Jay and Senitra Heath: A dedicated teacher and a former Logistician who decided to combine their talents and passions to launch a family business. With a shared love for the community, youth, and theatre, they envisioned a space where creativity and learning could flourish. Both with professional degrees and established careers, we've embraced our entrepreneurial spirit to inspire others while nurturing the next generation. Together, we seek to make a lasting impact, blending education and the arts in innovative ways.
